SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2020 (Global) - Melbourne born and raised, singer-songwriter, Olivia Escuyos, has officially released her newest single “I.L.W.Y.” with an accompanying visual. The single was written by Olivia and is a melodic, sultry track that embodies the essence of the butterflies we all feel when we fall in love. In the lyrics, Olivia doesn't hold anything back about her feelings towards her love...even if others don’t approve. “I.L.W.Y.” takes you on a journey due to the captivating production by Melbourne natives, Vince Rojas and Iconic Beats. She also features background vocalist, Rahel; guitar soloist, J. Condor and bass player, Nico Maderazo.

COVID has become an obstacle for many artists to navigate when creating videos due to the restrictions on physical contact. Olivia started to film “I.L.W.Y.” pre-COVID and when it became evident she wouldn’t be able to complete it with the original treatment decided to put a call out to her followers to share videos of themselves with their loved ones. The video was filmed and edited by Melbourne filmmaker,  Francis Olalia and pays homage to love in real time with a montage of couples basking in their love intertwined with vignettes of Olivia. 

“I.L.W.Y. means so much to me. I wanted to come out with a song that was uplifting and true to me,” says Olivia. “I feel like this song is coming out at the right time and I am so grateful for everyone who helped make this track come alive. I am super picky when it comes to the way things come sound sonically so this single really is like my baby. I hope you all fall in love with it.”

Olivia Escuyos is a trained vocalist who ambitiously created her own YouTube channel at the young age of 14. She  got her start by posting covers, with her most streamed songs to date being the cover of Rihanna’s ‘Work’, accumulating 10.6M streams on SoundCloud and the cover of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s ‘Persian Rugs’ amassing in 1.7M streams on Spotify. These covers solidified her talent; effortlessly transforming an original song, evoking listeners to feel a sense of nostalgia and making each song feel magically new.
