Wellness is life. An easy concept to say but our client Jaimee Ratliff of Yoga With Jaimee actually lives it. In a little over a year, Jaimee has gained immense popularity in Atlanta as a certified yoga instructor re-shaping the industry in many ways; most specifically by using hip-hop music as the background soundtrack for her classes.

IF DEEPAK AND TUPAC CREATED A YOGA CLASS, THIS WOULD BE IT...

Jaimee's hip-hop yoga classes are an athletically powered, inspiring vinyasa flow challenging all levels, set to your favorite Hip Hop + R&B tunes. While classes are moderately heated, sweat will drip as you power your way through a series of postures to lengthen, strengthen and tone muscles. Come prepared to have fun, get playful, build community, and move to the beat, however, feels right for you.

and now you don't have to live in Atlanta to experience it.

Yoga With Jaimee is excited to present Flowin' With The OM'ies, a hip-hop yoga tour in partnership with City Winery starting in New York City on February 24th and ending in Atlanta on March 31st. See the tour dates and cities below. If you are going to be in a nearby city come join us! Find more details and ticket availability here.

WHY POP-UPs and a tour?

Jaimee believes yoga should be accessible to everyone despite color, shape, size, socioeconomic status or a lack of studios within a certain area. She offers pop-up classes and now a tour to reach more people from all backgrounds, right where they are. Jaimee is passionate about an all-inclusive yoga experience, she thinks:

"Despite the images we see depicted in the media, yoga is accessible to everyone: all colors, shapes, genders, sizes, and socioeconomic statuses. I want people to come to my class feeling welcome and leave feeling inspired and confident: never judged, never alone. The goal of my pop-up hip hop yoga classes is to make this practice accessible to everyone in both creative and unconventional spaces. Spaces that inspire you to lean on your originality, embrace your uniqueness, show up how you are, feel how you want in your body, and move in ways that feel glorious for you. The music will bump, the sweat will drip, and if you feel inclined to "twerk" in a downward facing dog, well, that's always welcome too.”

As a lover of travel, Jaimee believes movement and change spark creativity and growth. By practicing yoga in a mixture of studios and new unconventional spaces, she can push guests to play outside the lines, move away from what a yoga practice "should" look like, and allow them to feel something new. This keeps the practice fresh, fun, creative, and always evolving...just like hip-hop!
