The Cher Show, headed for Broadway, has found its remaining Chers for the pre-Broadway run in Chicago: Actresses Teal Wicks and Micaela Diamond will join the previously announced Stephanie J. Block as the legendary singer at three stages in her life.

The show’s complete casting was announced today by producers Flody Suarez and Jeffrey Seller. The castings were not confirmed for the Broadway run.

The new musical will premiere in a June 12-July 15 limited engagement at Broadway In Chicago’s Oriental Theatre, with a Broadway run planned to begin previews on Thursday, November 1 at Broadway’s Neil Simon Theatre, with an opening on Monday, December 3.

Wicks has appeared in Wicked and Finding Neverland, while Diamond will be making her Broadway debut. Also announced today were Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) as Sonny Bono, Michael Berresse (Kiss Me, Kate) as Bob Mackie, Michael Campayno (Wicked) as Rob Camilletti, Matthew Hydzik (It Shoulda Been You) as Gregg Allman, and Emily Skinner (Prince of Broadway) as Cher’s mom Georgia Holt.

The full company will also feature Marija Abney, Carleigh Bettiol, Taurean Everett, Michael Fatica, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Michael Graceffa, Blaine Alden Krauss, Sam Lips, Allie Meixner, Tiana Okoye, Amy Quanbeck, Angel Reda, Dee Roscioli, Michael Tacconi, Tory Trowbridge, Christopher Vo, Alena Watters, Charlie Williams, and Ryan Worsing. Additionally, video designer Darrel Maloney has joined the creative team.

The Cher Show is based on the life of – as the production duly notes – Cherilyn Sarkisian La Piere Bono Allman: “The kid on a tricycle, vowing to be famous. The teenage phenom who crashes by twenty. The glam TV star who quits at the top. The would-be actress with an Oscar. The rock goddess with a hundred million records sold. The legend who’s done it all, still scared to walk on stage. The wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. The woman, looking for love. The ultimate survivor, chasing her dream. They’re all here, dressed to kill, singing their asses off, telling it like it is. And they’re all the star of The Cher Show.”

The musical’s book is by Rick Elice, direction by Jason Moore, choreography by Christopher Gattelli, and orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Daryl Waters. Cher’s longtime costumer Bob Mackie is on board, as are set designers Christine Jones and Brett J. Banakis, lighting designer Kevin Adams, and sound designer Nevin Steinberg.
